Uncloaking the Enigmatic Canberra: Part Two

I'm lovin' our HOHO bus tour!
I genuinely am!

Fantastically, we're not losing any minute and so with John, the amiable and knowledgeable driver/guide, when he dropped us off on the designated location within the New Parliament of Australia premises noon time. Our short walk from the waiting shed exposed us now to the sun energy.

Hence, being inside the building after passing through the security screening point did us all good though nobody was complaining about the heat. Similar to what Olen avoided at the Australian War Memorial, she decided to look for a spot where she could lounge while the four of us do our self-tour.

Catching my attention once indoors was this marble staircase.

If this appeared grand and opulent to me, I wonder how I'd react upon seeing Donald Trump's renovated ballroom in actual. *eye rolls*

At this juncture allow me to do a photo dump. I hope this will give you a more authentic vibe of our tour.

How ironic that we have already visited the Australian Parliament House in Canberra, but not yet the Senate and the House of Representatives in the Philippines. I wonder now if they are also open to DIY tours on weekdays.

Before exiting I noticed these paintings which beautifully adorned the wall. This is one kind of expressive arts which I am gaga about.

It took us roughly 40 mins in exploring the Parliament. We gave ourselves allowance in returning to the pick-up point since we needed to walk again. Always taking into big consideration was Olen's mobility and pace.

Going past this International Flag Display area, I didn't expect that this would result in a new header for my blog.

Thank youuuuuu to my niece Jai who seemed to possess the Midas touch when requested to take a photo. It's even foreseeable that's why she was the designated official handler/user of Cristy's Insta360 x5 which was purchased right away at Sydney Duty Free upon our arrival. Hahahaha...

After a few minutes had ticked by, John's vehicle came. We stepped in livelily! He inquired about our experience and was glad to hear positive feedback from us. Then, Jai informed him about scrapping our tour of the Old Parliament House since we already wanted to proceed to our following stop, the National Museum of Australia (NMA). By the way, tourists could personalize this HOHO, so our group just picked the major national attractions which we'd like to see.

Reviewing our Wednesday itinerary, it would be souvenir hunting after NMA. Yabba-dabba-doo!!! Guess this was what we gave precedence to that afternoon. *winks*
