We respond, "Our photo poses are weird-looking.” Hahaha! Well, we couldn't be sharing a consanguineal or even affinal kinship (in the case of Dan, Johanna's husband) if blending in with us was a failure. Confidently, I could claim that our two-day stay in Sydney was an extra welcome opportunity to reaffirm this relationship until the last activity that we had from Cabarita ferry wharf.
Waiting for the ferryboat that would take us to Circular Quay, we couldn’t just sit still. Our "feel-good" hormones had to be released! LOL!
I suspect that this animation convinced our co-visitors to have a group picture with us for a souvenir. *beams*
After almost 10 minutes, we readied to get on the water shuttle. I did not forget to have a photo with Bryan, who's coincidentally a retired college teacher.
I shared the seat with my sister Cristy. Upon sitting, we couldn't help but comment on this mode of transportation in Australia. Clearly, this provides an excellent alternative to congested road traffic. In fact majority of our co-passengers appeared to be daily commuters. We could just utter a wishful thinking that the use of ferry boats in Manila would be greatly improved someday.
Now, after a few minutes of sailing it dawned on me that we'd be transported to a different part of the Sydney Harbour or Port Jackson which we visited on December 7. This means we would again be up close and personal with The Sydney Opera House. This time from another angle.
We docked at Circular Quay less than a 30-minute trip.
Still early, we were given ample time to explore the harbor and take multiple snaps, including the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA). By the way, it's not all beauty here. Homeless people and rough sleepers keep "residence" at this central hub. *snorts*
Satisfied with our latest photos, we agreed to leave so my sister Olen could buy a new luggage and then eat our dinner. From waiting for an Uber and in the course of our trip to a mall, I luxuriated in these distinct Australian architectural creations.
Entering Kmart, we also tried shopping for women’s sun hats which we’d be wearing at the Graduation Parade of NJ since a hot weather was expected. Our grandson reminded us that the use of umbrella would not be allowed at the ceremony. We didn’t buy any since the style that we wanted was pricey! Waaaaaa! Imagine just wearing it within an hour? (Not purchasing one was a good decision since the heat of the sun was tolerable during the event.) We’re glad though that Olen found a pretty travelling bag with durable appearance.
Now, guess what we had for dinner in Sydney on our second day?
Right, it’s Japanese dishes, still Asian cuisine! Hahahaha... I wondered when we'd go full Aussie food dining.
Elated bellies, we stamped December 8 an awesome day when we left the Broadway Shopping Centre at 7:30pm. The temperature had dropped, and it was still bright outside. Yes, it’s loooonger day than night here in Sydney! I suppose this could be one reason to persuade me to immigrate. Harharhar!
